Welcome to The Hub

Welcome to Stamford Bridge Community Hub

The Hub is here to – provide a focal point for villagers who are new, lonely, bored, fed up or looking to put something back into the community and want to get involved.

The Hub is based in the Village Hall on Wednesday afternoons 1-4pm and open to all adults in the community -(Children are welcome but must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.)

Our Aim is to
               – offer people in the community a chance to meet and socialise by providing a friendly and welcoming environment.
               - provide a place to - chat & relax,
               - enjoy many activities (e.g. games, Computing, reading, quiz etc.)
               - seek help & advice on any issues (from Local trades people to Internet
and Citizens Advice.)
               - encourage everyone to join in with the activities.

To cover costs we ask for a donation of £1 which will include a drink (Tea/Coffee) and biscuit/cake.

  1. Hi my name is Liz and my partner is called Gordon. We have recently moved to Stamford Bridge.

Due to unforeseen health issues I am no longer able to work. I am 46 years old and I feel like I need to be busy and become part of the community.

I have a lot to offer in the way of being computer literate and I also like to help organise activity's and create flyers. newsletters, posters etc.

Before I became unable to carry out my job, I was working in a residential home for the elderly and was the activity coordinator. I loved this job and in my spare time I produced lots of information on trips, activities and other things. I would create posters, flyers, newsletters on things that where happening and also news about how each event happened.

If any one needs any help and to get me out of a rut of these 4 walls and to stimulate my brain again please feel free to email me on:
    lizz1emcmc@hotmail.com

    Kind regards,

    Liz McMillan
